Performance Modified Bodies and short film Suture are exploratory costume design projects that, reflecting upon the burgeoning popularity of cosmetic surgery, consider the degree to which the human body has come to function as costume and, by extension, costume becomes a newly integral part of a performer’s body, an agent of transformation and initiator of performance narrative.

The performance Modified Bodies emerged as result of a two​ week workshop at the Costume Agency creative research project held at Oslo National Academy of Arts (KHIO). Initially conceived as video component of the performance, the short film Suture evolved into independent artwork in which two figures transform in a corporeal manner via the application of my costumes.
